In-home Weekly Meal Prep
How it Works
Step 1. We have a phone or video call discussing your dietary needs, food preferences, favorite cuisines, etc, and then calculate how many meals and portions would work best for you and/or your family. As an example, a family of 4 might need 4 dinners per week. This would mean I would create 4 unique dishes at 4 portions each. Likewise, a single gal on the go might need 5 lunches and 4 dinners per week, so I might make 3 unique dishes at 3 portions each, giving her 9 total portions of food for the week. I offer packages with prices ranging from $200-425 per service.
Step 2. I send you a list of 6-10 meal options that align with your specific tastes and dietary needs, and have you choose which meals you would like for the week. All menus should be finalized by 7pm the night before service.
Step 3. Using my company card, I shop for and purchase the groceries needed to make your dishes, the total cost of which, will be added to your invoice for the week. As an example, if the cost of the service for the week is $250, and the groceries total $125, the client will be billed for $375 for that week’s service. I know the cost of groceries are insane right now, but take peace of mind that I spend hours every week couponing, and finding sales at different stores on all your favorite foods, so that I can give you the best food, at the best prices! I also go through your pantry and spices to make sure you don’t already have any ingredients I brought. If it is not a refrigerated item, I will return it, and remove that charge from your total bill.
Step 4. On the agreed upon date and time of your first service, I will arrive with all needed product, excited to get to work! I do like to have someone at home on my first service to show me the lay of the land, and go over proper cleaning of dishware, countertops, and appliances. After that, you are free to stay and chat, and watch the food magic happen, or go about your day – I learn peoples’ kitchens quick, so I am fine being independent right off the bat.
Step 5. I will plate all meals in either larger, family-style storage containers, or in smaller, individual-size storage containers, and will display dissolvable labels with the dish name, the date it was made, and a number indicating how many days the dish will be good for. Then, I will store all dishes in the fridge or freezer.
Step 6. I clean the kitchen thoroughly before leaving, ensuring no dishes are in the sink, the counters and cooking spaces are spotless, and trash/recycling/compost are brought outside. On our first visit, I will have you look through the kitchen to make sure the cleanliness is to your standard before departing.
Step 7. I will text you your total for the week once the final grocery bill is decided. Payment can be made by Venmo or PayPal, cash or check. I will provide you with a fancy new magnet before I leave with QR codes linking you to my Venmo and PayPal, so payment can be made easily. Step
8. You eat! (the best step). I will follow up after a few days to make sure my meals were to your standards. Keep in mind, my tastes and palate are different than yours, so I won’t always get it perfect from the beginning. If anything ever needs to be tweaked, don’t hesitate to say something. I am here to make delicious food for you, not me!
In-home Event Services
How it Works
Step 1. We have a phone or video call to discuss the details of your event. Things we might discuss:
theme of event
number of guests
guest dietary needs
date and location
event start time and chef arrival time
service type (buffet, heavy appetizers, individually-plated, etc)
cooking space (I am in-home only, so I would need a cooking space on location of the event)
Step 2. I math everything out! I charge by the head, meaning the final cost will be determined once the final guest count comes through. This charge per guest would include the cost of groceries, labor, and any travel fees the chefs might require. If an event is larger than 2 people, I might reach out to another independent chef in the area to assist. All of these chefs are also licensed and insured!
Step 3. Once the details are hashed out, and the price is agreed upon, I will send you a contract to sign, while you send me a $250 deposit to reserve your spot on my calendar.
Step 4. We decide the menu, figure out the cooking space together, and work out any other details of the event. I have connections with florists, photographers, and bartenders, and can make recommendations on rental equipment.
Step 5. On the agreed upon date and time of your event, I will arrive with all needed product, excited to get to work! You are free to stay and chat, and watch the food magic happen, or go about your day, prepping for your party – I learn peoples’ kitchens quick, so I am fine being independent right off the bat! I will prepare all the food, and have it out at the agreed-upon time, looking, smelling, and tasting delicious!
Step 6. I clean the kitchen thoroughly before leaving, ensuring no dishes are in the sink, the counters and cooking spaces are spotless, and trash/recycling/compost are brought outside. I will have you look through the kitchen to make sure the cleanliness is to your standard before departing.
Step 7. Payment can be made by Venmo or PayPal, cash or check. I will provide you cards with QR codes to payment options. And tipping is always optional :P
